DESCRIPTION
We
are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Accounting organization
and contribute to our Accounting team. This individual will be based at
London as a key member of both the UK and Global Accounting teams. The
successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in financial reporting
and internal control.
This role is responsible for controlling and managing the accounting functions
that support UK operations. Accounting flows are managed by multiple legal
entities, with participation of many stakeholders from different locations.
The individual will be responsible for accounting and reporting, as well as
driving cross-border projects. They will also develop best practices in
processes and controllership at an international level. They will work
with the global financial leadership team to implement policies.
This position requires candidates to have held supervisory or managerial
positions in companies with less that one billion annual revenues. Candidates
will also have worked at the manager level for large four public accounting
firms with Fortune 500 clients, or in large public companies as a manager. Candidates
must demonstrate that they are top performers at their respective levels.
Scope/key responsibilities:
This position supports the Global Accounting function and includes a mixture of
operational and project-based new business accounting responsibilities,
including but not limited:
O Represents the Accounting team
O The preparation of various deliverables to support internal and external
financial reporting, including analytic commentary as well as the preparation
of additional financial analysis for management.
O Leading financial statement reviews
O Review and preparation of monthly reconciliations between the balance sheet
accounts.
O Responsible for the improvement of accounting processes and controls in a
company that has a large volume of transactions.
O Responsible for certain month-end close activities. Ensure that deadlines are
met. Also, look for ways to improve the process.
O Participating actively in cross-functional project launches, from scoping to
testing and launch.
O Responsible for engaging actively with a variety Stakeholders in the
business, including technology team members on business integration projects.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
O
BA/BS is required
O ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar credentials
O Relevant accounting experience (public or industry accounting preferred)
O Exposure to operational accounting concepts for inventory, procurement
payables receivables and revenue
O Demonstrated ability to participate in milestone-driven projects
O Strong desire to exceed expectations
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
A solid organizational and project management skills as well as information
technology ability
Ideal candidates are experienced and talented accountants or finance
professionals who are passionate about reporting and accounting. They will also
have knowledge of the details of a monthly close cycle, periodic reporting, and
related analysis.
We are looking for a strong desire and ability to exceed expectations.
Effective interpersonal skills include persuasive writing and oral
communication. Solid organizational skills are required. Ability to manage and
assess risk. Willingness to dig into the details while also understanding the
bigger picture.
